Use in ATAK
First choose whether ATAK can reach this server during use.
Server available
Host and stream maps
Best when devices share a trusted network with Map Room. Uncached areas need the server.
Preferred
Vector tiles
Usually smaller to stream and cache, with sharp labels. Import the source first, then its style.
Choose an individual published map above. Import its vector source first, then apply the style in ATAK.
Compatibility option: raster/TMS tiles
Map Room renders PNG images for ATAK. This is simpler to display but usually transfers more data.
The XML is a pointer to a tile service, not the map itself. TMS is a tile-request pattern, not a single map file.
No server or network
Make a completely offline map
Select one region above to download its complete vector archive.
Download regional archive (.mbtiles)
Transfer the full file before departure. QR codes only carry small hosted-map links, not tiles. Avoid wrapping huge offline archives in ATAK Data Packages; transfer them directly and verify the import on your ATAK version.

Vector PBF — preferredCompact geometry styled by ATAK; usually smaller and sharp at every zoom.
Raster / TMSServer-rendered PNG tiles; simpler display, but usually more data.
XML / JSONSmall hosted-map configuration files; they do not contain the map.
PBF / PNG tilesIndividual vector or raster tiles requested while panning and zooming.
MBTilesOne large SQLite archive containing the region's vector tiles.
Streaming means tiles load on demand. It does not mean live tracking or automatically live map data.
